The aquarium is a safe and controlled environment with lots of visual stimulation for younger visitors and our talks programme really help to bring the whole experience alive for the older ones.

A member of our knowledgeable team can accompany your group on a fun-filled tour around our aquarium displays; identifying creatures, discussing their habitats and highlighting unusual facts and features that is guaranteed to have you impressed. There is so much to learn about the underwater world!
Evening Hire
We are also available as a venue for evening events or meetings. This can include use of the aquarium displays, a guided tour if you would like one, and use of our café and shop facilities if required. Packages are tailored to meet each group’s specific requirements.

Get ready for a fin-tastic day out! Blue Planet Aquarium is open daily from 10am (closed only on Christmas Day), with the last entry one hour before closing.

Getting Here is Easy! Whether you’re driving (with free on-site parking) or hopping on a quick 15-minute train from Edinburgh to North Queensferry, reaching Deep Sea World couldn’t be simpler.
By Car
From the South: Follow signs for Forth Road Bridge. Once across the bridge, take the first exit left and follow the brown tourist signs for Deep Sea World.
From the North: Turn off the M90 at Junction 1 and follow the brown tourist signs for Deep Sea World.
By Train
